Algebra. :/ <-- facial expression of some adults when they hear Algebra. >_< <-- facial expression of students when they hear MATH.
Math's not bad. It's just challenging, isn't it? 'aw man' is what students in the lower years say during math time.
'Mathematics is the alphabet which God had written the universe.' I agree with Galileo. God had created the universe using math, didn't He? The number of stars, planets, galaxies, meteors, distance, etc.. It's all made with Math. The shapes, measurement, God had used math in all these.
Anyway. So Algebra. It's fun though many loathe it. I wonder.............

Donald Mathmagic Land (Guide Questions)

 1. Pythagoras was a Greek mathematician. What are some of the mathematical contributions he
made?
1. The sum of the angle is  a triangle equal to two right angles.
2. Pythagorean theorem
3. Construction figures of a given area and geometrical algebra.
4. Discovery of irrationals.
5. Five regular solids
6. Taught that the earth was a sphere in the center of the universe.

2. What is a Golden Rectangle? Why is it important in architecture and art? Look around you
right now. Do you see anything that looks like a Golden Rectangle in your classroom?
golden rectangle is one whose side lengths are in the golden ratio,  1 : \tfrac{1 + \sqrt{5}}{2} or approximately 1:1.618.
The golden rectangle is important for it is in nature. Some architects like Mario Botta bases his designs on geometric figures, which includes the rectangle. Some scholars speculate that Leonardo Da Vinci's illustrations in De Divina Proportione, that some bodily proportions exhibit the golden rectangle.
Yes, there are objects that look like the golden rectangle like the chalkboard, the gate, the bulletin board, etc...

3. Pythagoras wrote, “Everything is arranged according to number and mathematical shape.”
What do you think he meant by this? Do you agree with him? Why or why not?
I think he meant that every object in the world is associated with mathematics because, in fact, we use math every time. Nature, the buildings, human beings, creatures, everything. They are all related to math. I agree with him because it's clear that everything was being counted and measured.

4. What are some ways that math is a part of your daily life? What about the lives of the people
in your community? The government?
I use math when I am counting my money or when I am doing inventory on my things. Others use math when they are cooking. Government officials use math when they are trying to count the salaries going to be given to government employees.

5. Can you suggest some ways that math is present in nature?
Flower petals ,trees, beehive, earth itself, volcanoes, etc..

6. The video refers to a number of games that rely on geometric or other math principles in order
to be played. What were some of these games and how is math used in them? What other
games do you know of that use math principles in some way?
Billiards, baseball, basketball.
Darts, badminton, swimming.

EXAMS... yes. It's our math examination on Thursday. We have been told that it won't be easy. And that there are 100 items. -.-
Haaaayyyyy!! This means STUDY. STUDY. STUDY :/

Anyways. We had a review on Integers ,and Fractions and Decimals at our Genyo lab. After reviewing we answered the activity posted and I got the score of 18/20! Yay! Lol
That's all we did today. :))

I'm confused. If #5's question's answer is option c, then why am I wrong in that number??

Today, we had a quiz on Integers in Genyo. I was really really careful in answering that test. I submitted my test answers and received the results. And guess what? I got 8 over 12! I reviewed the results. I accepted all of my mistakes except for one. And that's number 5. The question was -5 - 4 + 8. Option B is -1 while Option C is 7.
I answered option C. I was wrong... But my question is, why did the explanation said that the correct answer is option c when in fact the answer is option b? I'm wondering :))
Anyways.. Gotta get on with my life :D

Integers...

Yes! Integers!! Freaking Integers! hayyyy... I'm not really comfortable around integers. If we're solving problems with integers, I'd be like "ok here we go again". It's not that I hate integers. I like integers. It's challenging and it makes us think more and more. It expands our brain.... I like Math! But it's not my favorite subject though. We discussed about the shortcuts in subtracting integers. So easy. In my homework from yesterday, I got a score of 8 over 10. Two mistakes! I could do better next time. And by next time I mean tomorrow. We have another homework. It's page 118 part IV if I'm not mistaken. I wonder when our teacher's gonna check our math blog. hmmmm....

Traveling Game!! Oh yeah I suck in that! I get nervous everytime. I'm afraid I won't get the correct answer. But I know that I know I could do it.
